In R.E, we have been learning about being thankful. Earlier in the week, we went up to the woodlands to look at nature and take photos for inspiration. This afternoon, we used an app on the iPads to put our poems that we had written over the top of a picture of flower of our choice.

What are you thankful for?

Lead poems

LEAD is very important to us in class 6 and as we are learning about poems in literacy we decided to write some poems of our own about LEAD. All the poems were brilliant but Maddie and Lola’s really showed what LEAD means to us!

What does LEAD mean to you? Could you write a extra verse to our poems?

Poetry recital

Today we have reciting poems by different authors. This will help us learn about the rhythm and flow a poem needs to have. What’s your favourite poem?

Traditional poems

In literacy we are looking at traditional poems. We have been reading and writing our own poems. Today’s poem was all about the sounds we hear in the evening. It was inspired by the poem ‘Sounds of the Evening’ by Eleanor Farjeon.
