Our trip to the farm

Today the whole of KS2 went on a trip to Morrells Wood Farm to help us with our topics and farming and countryside award. In Class 6, we made weapons and   thought about how they’d have made fire in the stone age using sticks.

What did you learn at the farm?

Making stone age flat bread

Class 6 made stone age flat bread using water and a mix of ingredients such as oat flakes, wheat flour, rye flour and seeds. We had to roll the mixture into a ball and then press it flat.

This afternoon Class 6 have been designing their own Stone Age shelters, we have been deciding on what we think the best natural materials are to use.
