What a great day at the farm working out the perimeter, collecting data using data loggers and working toward farming and agriculture award and making boats and paper. We enjoyed working on our resilience pillars.

Guthrum

This afternoon, we have been learning about the battle between Guthrum and Alfred the Great, where Alfred ended up fleeing to Somerset. This resulted in a peace treaty between the two. As part of this, we recreated a “shield wall” which Alfred used in the battle.

Did you manage to stop the opposition getting through?

Anglo-Saxons

Today we have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons. We created a comic strip all about King Alfred the Great and about his time as King.

What facts have you found out?
