Egyptian food.

The Children enjoyed making Egyptian food today. On the menu was hummus with pitta bread.

They all joined in and prepared a delicious dish, which they all enjoyed trying. We made excellent keynotes for you to follow.

Today the children have made bread and butter pudding following a recipe that was used in world war 2. The children got to experience what the people of world war 2 ate and made, they followed the recipe very carefully to ensure the end product was nice.

Radish Salad

Earlier in the week, we harvested the radishes we had planted outside. This afternoon, we created a radish salad by cutting up the radishes along with tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and peppers.

How did the radish salad taste?

Avocado Salad

This afternoon, Class 6 have all helped in making an avocado salad. This involved cutting up a variety of vegetables including onion, cucumber, avocado and tomatoes. We then mixed these all together and then shared it out so everybody could taste it.

Potato Salad

In cooking this afternoon, we made our own potato salad. This involved using some of the chives which have been growing outside. We had to carefully cut the potato and chives, then mixed it together along with mayonnaise.

This afternoon we have been busy planting s variety of vegetable seeds. This included: tomato, runner bean, beetreet and kale. We are going to have to look after them over the next couple of weeks ensuring they are well watered.

Making Mayan Hot Chocolate

This afternoon, we created our own Mayan hot chocolate. First, we melted the dark chocolate in the microwave. Then, we slowly added milk whisking  it as we went along so it was nice and smooth. Finally, we poured it into cups so everyone could taste it.

This afternoon we made pancakes to celebrate Pancake Day! We all made pancake mix and keynotes about how they celebrate pancake day in different countries.
